Canadian Western Red Tight Knot
Cedar.
Cedar is a living legend for its
"grown-in-the-wood" resistance to moisture,
decay and insect damage. Cedar also has
exceptional dimensional stability. It lays flat,
stays straight, retains fasteners and provides a
firm base for many types of stains and paints.
Properly finished and installed, it could be the
last siding your home will ever need. With its
richness of grain, texture and color, Cedar
offers a timeless complement to any
architectural style, from traditional to
contemporary. It accepts stain or paint well
and, if left untouched, ages beautifully.

Ponderosa / Lodgepole Pine Logs.
Ponderosa Pine is one of North America's most
abundant species. It is often milled and sold in
combination with other similar Western Pine
species (Sugar Pine, Lodgepole Pine, White
Pine's, Engelmann Spruce and other western white
softwoods). Ponderosa Pine is contains less
pitch that Eastern Long Leaf Pine's or Southern
Yellow Pine. Ponderosa Pine has little heart
wood and is mainly sapwood, although in lower
grades the heartwood becomes more common.
Ponderosa Pine is often used for interior and
exterior applications, such as paneling, trim,
flooring, doors, windows, fascia, soffits and
many more.

Pine / Spruce / Douglas Fir
Framing Lumber.
These softwoods are most commonly used in
building construction. Builders prefer softwood
because it's relatively inexpensive and readily
available. Softwood is often pressure treated to
protect the wood against insects, rot, and
decay.
